Jonathan Lung, PhD
Jonathan is a Principal Software Designer at Kepler Communications.
Kepler is building the Internet in space using satellites in low-earth orbit.
During his tenure there, Jonathan has worked on a variety of systems including Kepler's constellation and mission control software; on-board flight software; and Kepler's provider networks.
Prior to that, Jonathan was a graduate student at the University of Toronto in the Department of Computer Science supervised by Steve Easterbrook.
His doctoral research was on human decision-making bias in prosocial scenarios.
While in graduate school, Jonathan also co-founded Sojourn Labs which built electric vehicles for urban commuting.
There, Jonathan developed several novel technologies including Sojourn Labs' Tru-Tilt stability control system and Bionic Zoom Drive drive-by-wire system.
Bionic Drive's potential to enable people living with Parkinson's and stroke to operate electric bicycles led to an Entreprenurship fellowship at the Ontario Brain Institute.
